Andr, born in 2000, began her musical journey inspired by the American R&B prodigy Frank Ocean. During her school years, she honed her composition and production skills at home, gradually crafting a unique style as a bedroom musician. In 2022, Andr was discovered by three renowned musicians, Howe Chen, Kain Han, and Ziya Huang, who founded Fortune Coookie Records. They immediately signed her as the label’s first artist after noticing her talent at the NCCU Golden Melody competition. In the first quarter of 2023, Andr released her debut single and started planning her first solo album. Andr’s music style is rooted in Alternative, blending elements of Indie Pop, Alternative R&B, and Indie Rock. Her soulful voice, combined with her alternative composition and arrangement, results in unique and captivating pieces. Onstage, Andr is a natural performer, effortlessly incorporating a rhythmic energy with a touch of whimsy, perfectly complementing her musical style. In late 2022, Andr began uploading her creations on StreetVoice, and released her first single, “Night Lotion,” in March 2023. In April, Andr, along with Everydaze, Lucy, and Robert Hu, was selected for Spotify’s annual emerging artist program – “RADAR”. She released her second single, “I Don’t Lose Sleep Anymore” in August and prepared to have her first live performance at LUCfest in November, coinciding with the release of her new single at the end of the month.
